Coffee Director / Cafe Manager
Karley grew up in New Jersey, and at the age of 19 moved as far away as possible - to Oahu, Hawaii. She began studying microbiology and chemistry with a focus on marine life. While studying in Hawaii, she took a trip to Seattle and was introduced to the world of coffee science. She began working with the University of Hawaii picking and processing coffee. After working with the soil and understanding the nuances of coffee agriculture, she moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in green coffee buying, roasting, and elevated coffee service. In addition, she also helps train baristas to perform at national competitions, surfs the friendly seas, and eats lots of tacos.
